Comment EI-24022
Received or sent (printed as 6/22/2016)
Dear Surface Transportation Board, I've reviewed the incoming correspondence in regard to this docket as of today, 6/22/16. Its a very good thing you've extended the comment period by a month because the amount of letters, concerns, oppositions, and resolutions continues to grow by the day. Due to all of this opposition, I truly wonder how such a proposal has gotten this far. By this far, I mean at the federal level. You may note, that nearly all of local and county Governments are opposing this project. Additionally, the State Department in Illinois, specifically representatives and the Department of Natural Resources have voiced their concerns and/or opposition. So, how could a project with this much opposition come so far? American people truly deserve an answer in this regard, and I'm sure the STB is looking out for our best interests environmentally and will provide those answers. The incoming correspondence appears to be well over 200, including 90 letters of opposition from major organizations, agencies, townships, counties, districts, etc. I ask that the STB respond to all incoming correspondence, or simply choose a no action alternative to this proposal. Thank You Jason & Lindsay Kokos 708-259-5250
