Dear Mr.. Navecky, I would like to reference the countless letters being written to the STB Docket #35952. The letters are composed by government agencies, townships, villages, county governments, fire protection districts, school districts, opposition groups, various business, organizations and societies, cemeteries, farmers, tax payers and residents of small town communities, etc...... A massive amount of research has been put into this proposal by all of the above mentioned. Here is what I want to know: Why is this being allowed to proceed any further with this amount of opposition? Why is the burden to provide information on alternate routes or environmental concerns, being placed on the public? Why has this process even begun and how did the GLB manage to fool anyone into granting any waivers in this process? Why does the GLB or anyone else have the right to force anyone off of their property? Why is no one understanding that this would destroy so many lives and way of life? human, plant, animal & environmental! Why does anyone think that these areas are barren wasteland just waiting for some investors" to come in and force urban development? Why in God's name would the Surface Transportation Board let this go on any further???? Why?????? Julie Kokos Sumner Township, Kankakee County IL 708-426-4180"
