Please explain why MP130 to MP140 is the preferred route when this route contains no flyovers for LaSalle County Road 2 and LaSalle County Road 3, which for the towns of Serena and Sheridan are the two major north south roads for the area? This line forces everyone wanting to travel north or south in a very small space to cross this line. This includes all Community Unit School District Number Two High School Students and anyone in need of ambulance services south of this track, as Sheridan services these areas with their ambulance, Serena does not have an ambulance crew. The Sheridan Correctional Center is also located on LaSalle County Road 3, the majority of visitors to this center would take Route 80 and exit either before or at Ottawa Illinois and take US Route 23 to US Route 52 to LaSalle County Road 3, also called East 2603 Road. This is an extremely heavily traveled road as the facility houses over 1,700 inmates. Please explain why having thousands of visitors a month cross these tracks is a more preferred route than having the route further South in the Dayton area, as GLB has stated is an alternative less preferred" route. As you should be aware the prison system does not place inmates near their homes, for obvious security and privacy issues, therefore it is a correct assumption that the majority of the visitors would be coming from the South off Route 80 to US Route 52 to the prison. I do not think it is right to have these visitors subjected to the dangers of crossing this line at grade level, and unfortunately that is the GLB plan. I also would like to know why it is acceptable to take an area with basically only two north south roads and make everyone in the area cross them when alternative locations would alleviate this problem? Please also explain why since the Sheridan Ambulance services the area South of Sheridan until the Dayton area, it would not make sense to have the Route closer to Dayton? The route could be the Ambulance cutoff for the Sheridan crew and the Dayton/Ottawa crew, instead it places an undue burden and delay on the Sheridan Department. Please explain why moving the route to eliminate emergency response delays is not a good idea, when these delays can be reduced by using a route GLB acknowledges they could use already?"
