In reference to the Thomas Conway Observatory located at 19100 Chase St in Lowell, I am an officer of the Calumet Astronomical Society. I object to the proposed GLBT railroad right of way because it would very negatively impact the use of the observatory for astronomical observing. The passing of trains in the near proximity of the observatory will create vibrations that would make the observatory unusable. In addition, the light pollution will negatively affect the ability to use the observatory. Thank you.
