I have recently moved here from the east and have been informed of the STB's plans to develop a freight train in my neighborhood. This is very discouraging to me. One of the things I love about my new residence in Indiana is the relative quiet and safety of the area, particularly compared to my previous home in New Jersey. In addition, I admire the hard work that my friends and neighbors put into their farms, many of whom have had family here for generations. They take great pride in their farms and homes and it is disheartening to see them forced to give up part of their part property. I understand the need for progress, but not at the expense of the residents. Such a plan would expose them to hazards which could be avoided by considering an alternative. The people here have devoted their lives to their land, and I urge you to consider this when developing a plan for a railroad. Sincerely, Matthew McLaughlin
