My comment re:Great Lakes Basin and the proposed rail line. I DO NOT want this to be approved. This railway would ruin the quality of life for thousands of people including me and my husband. This railway would be about 1/4 mile from my home. We already have a train one mile from my home and we hear it day and night and it RATTLES our windows all day long. I cannot tolerate this constant noise, pollution and mess. The quality of life here, and in Union Mills, Valparaiso, etc. would be terrible. If this railway is approved we would have to sell our home to escape it, but who would want to buy our home and live with this mess? The negative effects of this railway would greatly outweigh any benefit in terms of jobs etc., not to mention destroying even more of our natural environment.
