Mr. Navecky; Two ravines that run through my property and continue to the west where the rail line will cross them were unable to be planted in 2009. The water table was so high that year that water flowed into July. Over the years depending on snow melt and rainfall accumulations I have seen flowing water in these ravines many times. Sometimes the water flow is a couple hundred feet wide across the ravine. Road way culverts at times are insufficient to handle the volume of water. When the water is slowed it swirls and it is the swirling action that causes the most erosion and damage to the soil. The water drainage must not be impeded with this project or significant soil erosion and damage will occur.
