This railroad is going within 200 feet our fourth generation home. It does a diagonal cross over the road in front of our house and on the side. We have heard of the silent zones. We also know that silent zones cause deaths on country roads. How is my family suppose to sleep, better yet, survive next to a railroad track? My husband and I have lived in the country all our lives. That is what we know. We have 500 acres that our being impacted by this railroad and our home. The foundation of this old house will not be able to stand 110 trains per day. My husband and I have completely remodeled this home and love the rick history of his grandparents having lived here. Is it fair to put a track right next to it with no consideration of the home? How are we suppose to sleep with a train right next to us?
