In Kankakee County is a 15,000 acre railyard. How can we fill out an STB if we don't know what exactly is in that railyard? Don't you have to know what the land is being used for before you can write an environmental statement trying to protect it? This process is so unfair and unjust! To waive the six months from the people so all better understand how we are being impacted would have been so much fairer! In that railyard are 4 large creeks. Those creeks all flow into the Kankakee River. That is the drinking water to all the people in Kankakee, Bourbonnais, and Bradley. There can not be any contaminates in that railyard because of the horrid effects it would have on the drinking water for thousands! The Kankakee River flows into the Illinois River which flows into the Mississippi River. This could be devastating to millions of people. If you place some type of pavement in that railyard and try to reroute the water, then you will flood the farmer on the other side. Water must move in its natural direction! We can try to control it, but we always lose!
