Construction of GLB Railroad, and especially the proposed railroad yard between Manteno and Grant Park, IL would have a huge negative impact on land values. The surrounding properties would suffer a big loss in property values, resulting in a lower tax base. That would strain local school district budgets, fire protection districts, and other taxing bodies. No, no, no to this senseless, disruptive project!
