Great Lakes Basin Railroad is really BAD for Kankakee County and Salina Twp. It will split Salina Twp. in half. This will cause a myriad of problems and concerns for fire and ambulance response times. It will create problems for our school district with school bus travel. It endangers all residents with the possibility of derailments and possible hazardous material spills and or fire/explosions. The water aquafers will be in jeopardy which will affect our well water supplies. Big Money should not have this kind of power and should definitely not be entitled to use eminent domain to STEAL other peoples property. We do not need this railroad so please take ALL things in to consideration and not allow it to happen. Thank you for listening.
