I am asking you to deny Mr Patton the permit to build a railroad!!!! You are probably tired of hearing the thousands of reasons, many repeats, why the railroad should not be built, or you should not give them the permit to do so. You do not want to hear not in my back yard" but that is the reason a large amount of these comments are sent to you. I cannot find the words to express to you how deeply these people, that are being affected, feel about the land that Mr. Patton wants to take from them with your approval. They and their families have owned and worked their land, some for many generations. There are many others of us who have moved to this environment to avoid what Patton wants to force on us. We love and cherish the peace and quiet and have invested many years of hard work to live in and enjoy our retirement and possibly LEAVE A LEGACY for our families for generations to come. I can't help but feel that Mr. Patton has an ulterior motive behind what he has told everyone he is wanting to do, you do not plan on something for 7 years, make a public announcement out of the blue and instead of the 6 month comment period, have it reduced to 2 months (we were given an extra month, whippy-do) without trying to hide what your real intentions are. If he gets the o.k. for 15,000 acre rail yard and changes his mind and wants to build something else on it what is to stop him? He wants 250 ft. for what ever he wants to add to the right of way, making huge amounts of money for himself at our expense and we get nothing but grief. THIS PROJECT NEEDS TO BE TURNED DOWN IF NOT ONLY FOR THE REASONS YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD ABOUT BUT FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THE WAY MR. PATTON IS TRYING TO SNEEK THIS BY ALL OF US AND HIS SHAKEY WAY OF DOING BUSSINESS!!!!!!!! Ken Daggett"
