My adult sons are 5th generation family farmers. The construction of GLB Railroad would bring about the loss of some of the best soil in the world; soil which many more generations will rely upon to feed the world. Not only would the soil beneath the railroad be lost forever, but a wide area around the project would suffer many years of damage from compaction that would take place during construction. A project such as this would cause many more problems than it would solve.
