Dear Mr. Navecky, Please reject any application from the GLBT and stop any further EIS. This project would have grave impacts on so many topics, it is difficult to mention all of them. It is environmentally unsafe to our air, water, wildlife, ecosystems, and farmland. A large part of Illinois farmland would be destroyed which would lead to decreased production of grains, vegetables and livestock, people will be forced out of business. Frank Patton & the GLB want to disguise this project as an economic boon but all along the proposed rail line and rail port, people live and work there already! It does not make sense to kill jobs in order to create jobs". If the GLB has money to invest, they should invest it into our country's existing infrastructure. Improve the existing rail lines, put their money into C.R.E.A.T.E, improve our road system, bring business to the town of Gary Indiana, there are many other ways to help the economy or bring jobs to areas in NEED of jobs. Their purpose is to "leave a legacy" and to take from people who rightfully own what they have and use for their own benefit. This project needs to be rejected now, the STB needs to take a no action approach and cease further study. This proposal is already wasting tax payer money and government time and money. No third party contractor should have been hired because I don't believe the GLB would be paying those bills. This proposal should not even be at the level it is and should be rejected before an environmental review of up to 3 years is started. Any application by GLB should be denied. Please listen to the people of these 3 states that this proposal would gravely impact. Thank you, Julie Kokos"
