As a farmer in Kankakee County,I have to strongly oppose the proposed railroad and rail yard through Kankakee County. This would destroy half of my farm land, destroy the entire Sumner Township, destroy the church I attend, and removes thehomeI live in...Consider all of the negative impact this project would have on the environment, air, soil, animals. We see Eagles, coyotes, birds, fox, etc. where do the now go? The danger set forth for any other farmer in the area to cross crossings. Consider the potential spill that could occur....are you paying attention to what happened today in Oregon?.. The evacuation and spill and fire from their derailment of oil cars. We have a system today that is working to move rail cars. Why change that for a get rich deal for a few. Take the rail system through Mr Pattons house,land, church, and his families, then talk to us again.
