What's happening in Oregon right now as a result of the train derailment and resulting fire would be absolutely devastating if it occurred over our water aquifer here in Lowell, rather than near a sewage treatment plant like in Oregon. Although there's one of those where the line would run here as well. Along with a nearby middle school. Allowing a railroad to be built in a location irreparably harmed by such an occurrence is ridiculous and illogical. I implore you, therefore, to carefully consider the repercussions before allowing this project to go forward.
