[Manteno] I am writing in concern for the proposed GLB Railroad. I am concerned about the impact this will have on the transportation systems. This railroad will greatly impact the amount of time that students will spend on the bus, which already is close to an hour currently, this railroad and the closing of roads will greatly increase this time, which I consider asking kids to ride the bus to school longer than hour is ridiculous. With school budget problems, I don't forsee the school district being able to drastically increase the number of school buses to be able to decrease the bus ride time. I am also concerned about the railroad increasing the amount of time that it will take first responders to get to any citizens that will need their attention.
