Illinois is second to Texas in the number of rail miles in the state: 1. Texas 10,469 2. Illinois 6,986 3. California 5,295 Per the Association of American Railroads https://www.aar.org/data-center/railroads-states#state/IL With close to 2,000 more miles of track than California, a much larger state, please explain when Illinois needs more tracks than California. We do not need this line in Illinois. The line will just add more unneeded rail lines and harm the environment in the process. We have more than enough lines already.
