Drainage problems in the area forces road closings on 500 South in the same area as the proposed railroad crossing. All the water drains south to the Waterfowl USA Marsh that is approximately 2 tenths of a mile away. Any spill of hazardous materials would pollute the Marsh. The materials would also infiltrate the well systems used as the only source of drinking water for the residents in the area.
