Please explain why the GLB railroad is being proposed. It starts in Milton Wisconsin. Milton has three railroads coming out of it. The Wisconsin and Southern RR, which is a class II railroad, and thus not a focus of the GLB stated plans of servicing only class I RR, the Union Pacific RR, which has publically stated it will not use the new line, and the Canadian Pacific line which runs to Kansas City which is the fastest growing rail line area in the nation, as well as Chicago. If only 1/3 of the lines are going to be using the new tracks they are not needed and their environmental impact is so huge for such a little reduction in rail traffic the project needs to be denied. Frank Patton has even publically stated he see only 10-15 trains a day using the line, this volume is a drop in the bucket and the environmental impact is so huge, the line on those merits alone needs denied.
