Dear Mr. Navecky, I am writing today in opposition of the GLB Transportation project. I feel this project does not take into account the citizens who will live along the railline. My family has purchased a home in a rural area to raise hogs and live peacefully. According to the projected map, our family will be directly affected. The rail will be close to our property which is a risk to our livelihood. My husband and our three children will be subjected to the fear of derailment of unknown chemicals, noise, and pollution. In a recent letter from GLB officials it states that if a major derailment would occur by going through rural areas less people would be affected. While that may be true, why does anyone have to be affected when the CREATE project is already addressing the congestion issues. Our animals will be affected by the noise of this frequently used rail line. When we moved to the country we bought a home that was in a rural area to raise our children peacefully and raise animals. Just like most people wouldn't want a hog farm next to them, we don't want a unnecessary train next to us! Sincerely, Janet Hall
