Mr. Navecky, I ask that you please consider the haste in which this project was so abruptly pushed on people. Please choose a no action alternative and shut this project down. It has not been thoroughly vetted nor planned. The CREATE project was developed to minimize rail traffic, and it is doing so. Please see Superintendent of Cook County DOT John Yonan's letter. This is the epitome of a project being disguised for other use. This should not be allowed. No legitimate planning has been provided. If the STB knows of alternatives for this railroad and it's use it should be made aware to the public via the Freedom of Information Act. Maps have been provided that also show an expressway. Is this information being presented to the STB? Our county officials have this information so I assume the federal government is aware. Please advise.
