Re: Docket No. 35952 - Great Lakes Basin Transportation, Inc. Dear Mr. Navecky, The Great Lakes Basin proposed plan states that some rural roads will be closed. This leaves concerns for ambulance and fire emergencies that already operate on time constraints to arrive at the call in an expedient manner. It also concerns us as to the length of time children will have to be on a school bus twice a day. A major concern: I live in Grundy County, Il. and there are three nuclear power plants within 23 miles of my home. Dresden to the east, LaSalle to to west and Braidwood to the southeast. Nuclear power plants are built in rural areas with rural roads that are already limited in number. The emergency evacuation routes need to be carefully examined and studied by the Surface Transportation Board. Regards, April Gerstung
