2. There is an existing railway that runs the entire length of east to west section that GLB is proposing, but it is just south of the proposed route. Why has this not been utilized. Wouldn’t using the existing railway be less of a carbon footprint, easier on the environment, better local economies, prevent destroying prime farmland? Train traffic is already a part of the communities on this established route. This existing east to west railway starts near Schneider and goes to Wheatfield, Indiana.
