Dear Mr. Dave Navecky, I cannot thank you enough for listening to my concerns. I expect that you take these very seriously and give them much consideration. This is expected when a transportation company" disguised as a railroad tries to use the right of eminent domain. Wouldn't you agree? Anyways, the real issues at hand here are the environmental disasters this railroad and railport would cause. Separate the fact that eminent domain is not only unjust in this case but causes its own socioeconomic issues, the most important issue here is still the environment. After all, God only gave us one? I'd like to know the following in regards to your impact study. Please respond to each item listed below: - Where will all the soil and dirt be excavated from to provide the necessary grading of the rail tracks? - Assuming that soil is taken from surrounding fields, how will farmers be compensated for it? - Who will pay for any remedial grading in said fields to allow adequate drainage of rainwater? - For those who's homes utilize well pumps for their water sources, how will the GLBR minimize pollution through ground water that would eventually make its way into citizens drinking and bathing water? - In the case of widespread contamination, how will hazardous materials be cleaned up? Surely, this must be considered due to GLBR's mention that this railroad would transport these. - What kind of damage will be caused to drainage/field tiles? In the case that these are ruptured, who will pay to excavate and repair these? Trains are very heavy you see. And if you know anything about physics, speed x mass = velocity. When considering trains, these will impose significant loads on the tiles. I'm sure though that this is being considered. Thank You very much for listening to my concerns today. I appreciate your consideration. Jason Kokos Hardworking American Taxpayer 708.259.5250"
