[clinton] the attached photo see the big blue line is turtle creek in rock county wi and the small blue lines are where either cracks in the sub surface soil lets water in to the top layer such as a spring or water flows naturally which must be taken in to account with the railway needing a deep strong base to keep it from sinking or damming up water the photo is a google earth shot and the area is east BC townline road, crossing 140, up E.BC townline road than down milner road, crossing turtle creek, crossing creek rd in rock county , Wisconsin. The railway is about where the red line is drawn I feel that due to so much water trouble in this area it would be a bad area for a train to be built and if a chemical spill happens either on the curve where they said they will go 70 mph right by the creek there is a possability of a derail and contamination of the creek if the building of the train would intail digging it deeper than where the surface is now on the top of the hill of e bc townline there is a spring that may let loose and could cause filling of water to the proposed railway as may be seen in the gravel pit to the top right I feel the area hasnt been chosen properly because they didn't know the obstacles they would face. I was told they would be at road level with 140 and the hwy 140 woud go over them but this makes no sence because there are huge hills on both sides of hwy140 it would make more sence to be a tall bridge from one side to the other because of the requirement of 1% grade to be 70 mph train and the land all around is at that hight also but building that overpass would make visability bad for east BC townline it is for these reasons I feel this area is a bad choice to build a train in this area also due to the efect on live stock on 5 of the area farms right there.
