The Illinois Tollway appreciates the need to conduct the Environmental Impact Statement in an effort to develop viable alternatives that will provide congestion relief for the regional rail network. Upon review of the Draft Scope of Study for the Environmental Impact Statement, the Tollway has no comments on the information provided within it. Please note that as the study moves forward with subsequent planning and engineering it is requested that consideration for future growth and or use modifications within the Tollway’s Right of Way (ROW) is provided to our agency. Therefore, the Tollway formally requests that the any and all Great Lakes Basin crossings of the Tollway span the entirety of Tollway’s ROW. This will help to limit any potential future costs for both agencies should the Tollway pursue and implement any expansion or use modification projects. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this worthwhile effort and please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Sincerely, Rocco Zucchero
