[Valparaiso] I know that I have emailed you before, but I noticed that today is the last day for correspondence. I heartily encourage you and the board to deny this company's application to continue to progress with this railroad. Everything I have been reading is pointing to the danger of having this unwanted railroad in the proposed areas. There are too many family farms and wildlife areas at stake. The drainage pattern will be changing in the affected areas, putting acres and acres of the best farmland in the country in danger. Our family farms are the backbone of the rural counties in the path of this unwanted railroad. I truly believe that this is a proposed solution to a non-problem. There is already talk of solutions to Chicago congestion and I have not read of any existing railroad interested in this. Please consider carefully all of the people and land affected as you make your decision. Thank you very much!
