I'm writing to ask you to please do a complete study on the environmental impacts of the proposed Great Lakes Basin Railroad project. Not only is this project not wanted, it isn't needed. There are other plans in place currently to correct the issues they are wanting to remedy. This railroad and railyard jeopardize not only the communities that it wants to pass through but the animals, wetlands, forests, and farmland. There have recently even been eagles spotted over our beautiful state park and Kankakee River, both of which are in the path of this railroad. The air quality will be ruined along the path, as will all the farmland. This project is claiming to bring convenience to these communities, but taking land from all the inhabitants that live here isn't convenient to anyone but them. I urge you to conduct a full study on behalf of all of us that will be affected, including those who can't ask for the help themselves. Thank you.
