I am writing in opposition to the Great Lakes Basin Railroad Project. I feel that it will ruin thousands of acres of farmland by taking it out of production, crushing and blocking drainage tiles, and will alter the natural flow of water creating wetlands that are worthless. It will close many local roads, or create many crossings that will create a huge difference in response time for volunteer fire departments and ambulances. It will decrease values of all neighboring properties.
