My concerns with this railroad system are vast. My biggest concern, however, is safety. As I am a police officer and first responder. The increase in railroad crossings will only increase the time it takes for myself and other first responders can make it to calls for service. Which those extra seconds and minutes could mean someone's life. The potential for rail crossing accidents would increase exponentially in our area. I couldn't even imagine a railroad crossing accident with a filled school bus. The potential for spills is a big problem, as most of the townships and fire protection districts in my area are volunteer firegighters who are not trained to deal with such a catastrophe or problem. This railroad" is an enormous safety concener."
