Dear Mr. Navecky, I am writing to ask you to consider holding an additional scoping meeting in Kankakee County Illinois. The only meeting held here was the first meeting in your series of scoping meetings. This of great concern for a couple of reasons: The public while given notice was not aware of the scope of this project. There was no press coverage or awareness of routes at that time. The meeting would not reflect sentiment, simply because this was an unknown. Unlike other projects of this magnitude, there has been very little transparency for this project prior to your meetings. I fear that the representation at a Kankakee meeting today, would be significantly different than what you experienced. The impact to this county, particularly in the areas around the state park and proposed rail yard should warrant additional conversation. I have spoken to several officials who were not aware of the meetings or the status of this project. Again, transparency has been very limited due to the private development of this project. I am grateful that you apply the scrutiny that you do and realize this is at your discretion, and hope you would earnestly consider this request. Sincerely, Andy Corbus
