From: Donna Howard <gardonho@gmail.com> To: david.navecky@stb.dot.gov Date: 04/20/2016 05:51 PM Subject: Great Lakes Basin Trans LLC Project Docket No. FD35952 Mr Navecky I am concerned about the possibility of so many trains carrying hazardous materials so close to my residence of 45 years. At this point in my life I do not have the option of picking up and moving somewhere else nor do I want to leave my home. Please consider the very real possible effect of hazardous material spills by this proposed railroad. I do not think it is fair for a group of private investors to confiscate private property for their own monetary gain. The proposed railroad will not benefit the public in any way. It is purely for the profit or private investors. The welfare of current property owners should supersede the potential profits of outside investors. I am also concerned about safety. Such a dramatic increase in railroad traffic will make our country roads less safe to travel and will create undue hardship and delay getting to and from our homes. Also, my husband is 70 years old and I am 67. At any time we could need an ambulance or other emergency vehicles that would most assuredly be delayed getting to and from our house. Another concern is our neighbors who are advanced in age at this point. One has had the ambulance out to their house three times in the past few months, and another has just undergone surgery for shoulder, plus they have heart problems. This would be a problem for ambulance to reach them in case of emergency. Most of the people living down our road are elderly and could need emergency help at any given time. Please do not approve this railroad with or without modifications and ruin our peaceful lives and the environment. Sincerely, Donna Howard
