I live in Paw Paw IL. This project could destroy the peace that envelopes this town. The environmental issues that face this proposal are numerous; noise pollution is an inevitable outcome, but not the most damaging environmental impact. Along the length of the proposed line, the division of the most valuable and unrenewable resource, namely, some of the best farmland in the world; land that has been turned into a productive, life-giving food factory by farmers who have cultivated and nurtured it for generations will be permanently altered, retired and put at risk for miles and miles. Routing the energy and resources for this proposed rail line along already established lines and intermodals should more than remedy the problems this line is supposed to resolve. I have yet to meet a single person in favor of this proposal. Consider what accepting this will mean for the multiple farms and towns along the way. A hypothetical derailment (a statistical liklihood) will have impact in proportion to the substance spilled, the location ie waterway/aquifer, town, tillage, drainage, farm etc, and spell disaster for numerous individuals and families. Please demonstrate your willingness to PREVENT THIS. Stop this project. Thank you, Mark Dunklau 322 Wiley Ave Paw Paw IL 61353 8157572356"
