I live in a small rural town of Paw Paw IL. It is a beautiful farmland community This project could destroy that. T^he environment issues that face this proposal are numerous. Noise pollution coming from the number of trains, some suggest up to 100 a day! Valuable farnland that feeds our community, IL, the midwest, and even the world, could be threatened by derailments , dividing established farmsteads. Our area has a delicate balance of grading when it comes to grading for water flow. We have ALL our water provided by a deep well system . Worries of water contamination from accidental spills and destruction of precious topsoil from flooding are and could be a dangerous reality. Some of this rail will go directly thru our main road in and out of town, Chicago Rd. This could hamper delivery of goods, services, ambulance, Fire protection vehicles (We have our own fire dept), emergency exits due to natural disasters. As you can see this project would NOT benefit our community, in fact it would HARM it. Please join us and put a PAUSE to this project to address and investigate it further. WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU.
