I am opposed to the construction of the Great Lakes Basin Railway due to a number of environmental concerns. Noise pollution, air pollution and loss of habitat are big concerns of mine. Not only the direct locomotive impacts which include noise vibration and bright lights, but also the many vehicles that will be emitting pollutants while idling at the railroad crossings. Many a property owners lands will be forever divided by an industry that has throughout history taken advantage of landowners to line their own deep pockets.
