I am asking you to deny Frank Patton the right to take our land from use. The railroad would require a 1 degree grade which means in 1 mile it would only raise the track 92 inches, how high would they have to go to fly over a highway and how far back would they have to start the approach? This would require many miles of track to be elevated and many more miles of travel to haul all the fill needed to raise the track to the needed height over county roads and farmed land that was not made for this kind of traffic. The other option is to raise the highways creating enormous expense to already cash strapped state, federal and county agencies. This cost added onto our taxes. I AM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR MR PATTON TO BUILD HIS RAILROAD!!!!!!!! I think the STB should be very wary of Mr Patton because he will not be honest and co-operative with the very people he wants to take land from, the federal, county, state, and township officials that he is going to have to deal with to go through with this project. The man has been planning this for up to 7 years, so he is way ahead of everyone in his planning this project and we only have 3 months to try to figure out what his plans are? I cant help but feel the man is trying to put something over on EVERYONE for his own personal gain!!! Take the mans way of doing business into consideration when making a decision, if he cant be honest and straightforward with EVERYONE be very carful because you decision will affect hundreds of thousands of people every day in lost time waiting for trains to pass, noise pollution, and interrupted daily activities!!!
