From: etech47 <etech47@frontier.com> To: MILSS@stb.dot.gov Date: 04/13/2016 05:26 PM Subject: FD 35952 The Great Lakes Basin railroad project will, based on Indiana Department of Environmental Management studies, pass through the Valparaiso Outwash Apron Aquifer System. This region has deposits of fine to medium grained sand intermixed with shale rich gravel zones. Static water levels are typically less than 20 feet. Because there is no clay rich cap, the aquifer system is highly susceptable to surface contamination. This is the water that is used for irrigation, industry, rural use and public supply." Even a small spill can contaminate the water that my family and all the families in the Malden area now use on a daily basis. Thanks for taking our comments. Sent on my Samsung Galaxy S® 5"
