Our family is opposed to the proposed Great Lakes Basin Rail Line. The noise and inconvenience at rail crossings would greatly diminish the value and enjoyment of our property. The proposed route is also entirely too close to Boone Grove Middle School to ensure a safe environment both with regard to potential rail crossing collisions and chemical spills. This area is already home to a many residences and farms and more residential development is planned. This rail route should be established much further south of our area or not at all.
