ATTN: Dave Navecky - Docket No. FD35952 Surface Transportation Board Office of Environmental Analysis| 395 E. Street SW Washington, DC 20423-0001 Mr. Navecky: I oppose the entire Great Lakes Basin Transportation, LLC project and ask the Surface Transportation Board to deny the proposal. I would like to express my environmental concerns over the proposed Great Lakes Basin Transportation, LLC rail line project-Docket # 35952. My concerns are: high speed train derailments will cause toxic chemical spills on our prime farmland which will permanently destroy the soil and render it permanently useless for crop production; the rail line through our many farms will cause much longer response times for police, fire and ambulance vehicles to respond to emergencies in rural communities due to the increased length of time at railroad crossings and numerous township road closures and the disruption of water flow and tile damage will cause flooding of our farmland and the loss of fertile top soil.
