This is in regards to the rail road proposed going through WI. When this RR is constructed and maintained, they must abide by the weight limits imposed on local roads. Local roads are posted for even lower weights during spring thawing. Also the RR has to apply for conditional use permits from local governments in Rock County as they are locally controlled. There also has to be a bond in place for potential damage to the road. If road inspections are done, they need to be paid for by the RR. Any legal expenses incurred by the township should be paid for by the RR. In our township (Lima, Rock) we had road damage done by the Enbridge pipe line and we were reimbursed for only a small fraction of the damages done. Being the deputy treasurer of Lima, I know that we don't have funds to sufficiently maintain our roads and heavy equipment is a big part of the problem. Thank you for your attention to this.
