I express concern about the proposed train route in Porter County, Indiana. Any train wreck/leakage will contaminate the aqueducts/springs where we get our supply of water. Hauling nuclear products/waste will create another Chernobyl if there is an accident. Any other products (chemical, etc.) pose a whole new set of problems. Insurmountable medical problems, which is shown in medical studies, due to air, noise/vibration, water, and soil pollution, can and will create hardships. There is a potential of trains delaying ambulances and police. Our emergency traffic must get through, which one hundred trains per day does not leave much leeway for. Also, our economy relies on highway traffic. The proposed railroad can pursue the abandoned rails I see listed on the web site. It was stated to me, A wise person will look at the impact and the results as it pertains to the present and distant future for the well being of all." Thank you for your time."
