I know that many concerns regarding drainage, wet lands, first responder infrastructure exist for the Great Lakes Basin Railroad and are legitimate concerns to the area. However the one concern that I have that truly causes me to question the viability of the project is the the close proximity it has to schools in the Indiana portion of the rail line. There certainly exist many alternatives that avoid any kind of disruption or endangerment of our youth. The current proposal takes dangerous chemicals, noise disruption, and risky student transportation and places it as a direct burden on children. I know your time is too precious for me to ramble on regarding many concerns about the aforementioned topics. I just ask for consideration in choosing a route that can avoid the negative impacts on our school- aged children. Thank you for your time and effort.
