[Rockford] The rail proposed to cut the length and then the width of Cedar Cliff farm would pass directly above two very old gas pipelines very near the Rock River. There have been leaks on these lines in the past few years and they are aging. The vibration from the trains could cause leaks and possibly, explosions. The toxic waste will flow the short distance downhill to the River or to the creeks and streams on the farm. It is incredible that this was not taken into account by the planners of the rail.
