[Rockford] This rail will impact our farm to a high degree. It will not only decrease our acreage but will cross two, aging natural gas pipelines put in during 1949 and 1950. This would be just yards uphill from the Rock River at the back of our farm. It would cross a wide floodplain with a creek that drains into the Rock River. It would climb up in our woodlot to one of the highest elevations in the county just above the river and disrupt the wildlife corridor which is dwindling. I can't imagine a more destructive pathway for this rail.
