Dear Mr. Navecky: I am addressing the subject of noise pollution from a residential viewpoint. I have tried to include a short clip to illustrate two things: The beautiful night sounds and how a car can be heard coming more than a mile away. The road that the car is on is the same distance as the train will be from me. I moved to rural Porter County for the peace and serenity of nature and enjoy my horses. The sound of freight trains will be so loud and unbearable, I will have to move. This rail proposal is not a need it is a convenience at the price of many. An organization called CREATE is actively and successfully fixing the Rail traffic in Chicago. That is what should be done instead of creating many unnecessary problems that this rail proposal will do. I urge you to stop Great Lakes Basin Railroad in their quest to destroy for convenience!! Sincerely, Kim Westfall
