The concerns are derailment and polluting of the soil and ground water system; added noise interfering with livestock production and performance; change in wildlife (deer and turkeys) habitat; and will create problems by lowering the value of the farm and potentially more farmer expense to farm the divided land. Many of the farms involved are family farms that are dependent in maintaining the entirety of the farm for its value, production capacity and income to maintain the current status of the family farm. I am son of Barbara Merriam and brother to Carol Pregont that appear to be involved with land ownership for the proposed Great lakes Basin Railroad. The proposal would create a major loss of the wooded area on these properties with major loss of wildlife in the area. I totally object to having the Great lakes Basin Railroad to be built under the present proposal in eastern Rock County. Steve Merriam 3256 Sagewater Court Fort Collins, CO 80528
