I am strongly opposed to the proposition of a new freight rail line through the heart of our community. Having moved here just 2 years ago we chose the area for its tranquility and rule agricultural community. This rail line would cut through the very center of what we value here. My childrens school would be less than a half mile from the rail line. This would increase the danger for them getting to school and be a distraction with the noise. The rail system is already rather extensive in this area and it would seem the local cost for this line would far outweigh its benefits. Please refrain from desecrating our community. We are proud of what we have built here and to have it violated by an ADDITIONAL rail line would be travesty. Sincerely, Mark Beaver
