[GLBRR Ogle/Winn. rock river crossing] I sent this previously to Dave Navecky and did not receive confirmation. The route as proposed will destroy over one mile of riparian buffer on the Rock River, there is also a question of endangered species in that area. http:www.dnr.illinois.gov/conservation/IWAP/Documents/Mussel Basin Surveys/Rock_mussels.pdf It also crosses a gas pipeline by the river. It comes within 400 feet of SM&Sf park club house and trap range. It will eat up all the camping area from that park and activities such as Kick it for cancer and many other benefits which happen through out the year will no longer be feasible. The quality of life for those who occupy the 20 homes along Condon and Kishwaukee rd that are 400 feet or less will be non existent. By using my re-route proposal you will eliminate 3 sharp turns and a road crossing on condon( which is not even on the crossing schedule submitted by GLBRR). the line will also be 1/4 mile shorter. will not pass through exiting wetlands(tributary to Kishwaukee river which flows into the Rock River) Thank you for your consideration.
