I support the study of a freight rail route with the description provided by Great Lakes Basin Transportation, provided that modeling estimates significant energy and emissions savings by routing freight along this route, and; construction and operation of the proposed route constitutes negligible environmental impact, and; diverting freight on this proposed route will result in increased level of serve of passenger rail along existing routes.
